Exquisite Abstract Enamel by Allan Goldstein, 1959
Stunning abstract enamel bird sculpture by Allan Goldstein, circa 1959, California. Mounted in original frame by artist. Signed and dated on reverse.
Allan D. Goldstein was based in the Los Angeles area in the late 1950s through the 1960s. At that time he exhibited an enamel in the exhibition “Craftsmanship” held at the Los Angeles County Museum, Exposition Park, January 6th through February 7th, 1960.
His work rarely surfaces. This is an excellent example of his early work. This piece was also done in the cloisonné method, which is a much more desirable and rare from of enamel work.
