Exquisite Florence Knoll and George Nakashima Executive Desk
Rare solid walnut and steel single-drawer executive desk designed by Florence Knoll and George Nakashima, circa 1950s. This is a rare collaboration that most likely has ties with the ALCOA furniture that featured works by the designer duo.
This desk was only produced for 3 years. It features a solid walnut surface (1.25″ thick) with each end joined together with Nakashima’s signature butterfly joints. The base is solid steel, and the single drawer is executed in sold oak with beautiful details. This is truly a work of art.
